Celebrating International Women’s Day: The Women Who Inspire Me Every Day

It would be easy to write about famous women who have inspired me over the years, but instead, I’d rather acknowledge the extraordinary women who might seem ordinary at first glance. Every day, I am amazed by the incredible individuals I have the privilege of meeting—whether through my work, my friendships, or simply in passing moments of shared connection.

Inspiring Women in My Life

Then there are my patients, the majority of whom are women. Every day, I am in awe of how incredible you all are. Juggling complex careers, running homes, raising children—you still manage to look fantastic, exuding confidence and grace. Your resilience, dedication, and strength never go unnoticed.

I also think of the students I’ve taught, coming from diverse backgrounds in healthcare. The roles you carry out are truly inspiring, and I am constantly learning from each of you. Thank you for sharing your stories, your experiences, and your unwavering passion for what you do.

Incredible Women in My Circle

My friends: One of you balances an incredible career, a beautiful home, and an enviable talent for making life look effortless. Another, my sister, whose intelligence, kindness, and sense of humor never cease to inspire me. The women in my life each bring something unique and special, and I am grateful for them every day.

A Special Mention to Dawn Knight

Lastly, but certainly not least, I want to mention an incredible person, Dawn Knight. I call her the Erin Brockovich of the Aesthetics world. Dawn has campaigned tirelessly and relentlessly to bring safety to the aesthetics field at her own financial, emotional, and physical cost. Dawn, you are truly awesome. You inspire me to be a better person, and you deserve an O.B.E.

A Moment to Reflect

Thank you to all the women who enrich my life and the lives of so many others. Lets not just make it today, take a moment everyday to appreciate and celebrate the people who lift us up, support us, and make our world a better place. If someone inspires you, let them know. And if someone doesn’t add to your life, don’t be afraid to move forward. Life is too short to surround yourself with anything less than joy, love, and encouragement.

I am so grateful to be surrounded by so many special, beautiful women. Happy Women’s Day to you all! 💐
